Weekend TT round up:

Saturday 26th April – Catford CC 10 Tonbridge Q10/19

Five TRC riders ventured out early on Saturday morning from a dry east Kent to Tonbridge.

From the start the event was run in steady rain leading to many non starters.

Only 65 out of the field of 90 started.

2nd claim TRC riders Jon Parker (1st) and Chris Fennell (3rd)(both PMR@Toachimhouse) took the honours with superb 19:53 and 20:31 respectively.

Great rides in very cold, wet and breezy conditions.

Rob Milnes and Simon Henderson were questioning each other’s sanity at getting up at 03.30, travelling 45miles to ride their bikes in the cold and wet for 20 odd minutes whilst shivering in the refectory after the event……addicted to ‘testing’?

Both put in creditable times:

Ron Milnes 23:55

Simon Henderson 21:56

Chris Bax (2nd C) 24:17

Thanks to Peter Hayes and The Catford for organising the event.

Sunday 27th April – KCA 10 Harrietsham Q10/22

Different day- same conditions with the biggest field of TRC riders this season on a non club event

13 riders left east Kent in dry sunny conditions………….arriving at Harrietsham to grey sky and rain that again lasted for whole of the event….. when the sun came out!

It was a tough day for the sporting course with a steady cross/head wind to the turn that gave plenty of help on the way back for most of us.

Some of our members were riding the course for the first time, I don’t think they were put off……..well maybe by the weather?

TRC times in start order(my interpretation):

Chris Fennell (2nd C) 21:05

Andy Burrows 27:19

Martin Russell 26:11

Seb Dickson 22:42

Chris Bax 24:46

Colin Inett 28:45

Jon Parker (2nd C) 20:58

Paul Kelk 25:22

Dave Mastin 26:28

Andy McCall 28:36

Andy Macpherson (2nd C) 25:52

Gary Russell 25:21

Simon Henderson 22:43

2nd day in a row Jon Parker (PMR@Toachimhouse) was fastest rider – well done Jon.

Thanks to Graeme Moir and the KCA team for organising the event
