The club’s annual Easter Monday Jim Braginton Memorial 2-Up Team Time Trial was held in rather cold, windy and damp conditions. In spite of the conditions, all 26 teams that entered started, and there was a number of club riders amongst the prize winners. Fastest overall was the Fennell team of Nic and Chris with 19.34, just three seconds ahead of Kevin Tye and Andrew Meilak (19.37). Other club winners were Colin and Ollie Robinson (senior + junior), George Bussey and Charlie Burgess (junior), Adrian Hawkins and Martin Russell (veterans), Rob Milnes and Jo Smith (mixed), and Martin Glynn (composite team with Sam Bradford of PMR). Thanks to all the club members who turned out to help. These were Chris Burrows, Caroline Rigby, Helen Fennell, Tansy Martin, Simon Henderson, Huck Garip, Eddie Brown, Dave Danton, Chris Bax, Terry and Jenny Fearn, Sue Shields, Pete Huckstep, Paul Griffiths and Andy McCall. Finally, thanks to Chris Fennell for his donation of his “For the Love of Beans” chocolates, which were won as a spot prize by Dan and Lawrence Martin.
