An unseasonably warm, dry day with virtually no wind greeted the Thanet riders and guests who signed on for the quick blast up Bay Hill in St Margaret’s at Cliffe.
Fastest up the hill was Piers Hazelgrove (Adalta) in a very creditable 2:20, second was Monty Knight (UKC) 2:28 just pipping Max Thomson (Adalta) 2:29 for third.
Of the Thanet riders, quickest was Matt Seward who “big ringed” it up in (2:34), with George Pittock (2:36) second (and fastest Junior) and Jeremy Edwards (2:50) third.
Jo Smith was triumphant in the Women’s competition with a time of 3:05.
