Two first claim members and three second claim members made the trip to the wilds of the Grain peninsular to ride the Bexley 10 mile time trial on the Grain course. The wind was particularly strong and gusty, leading Dave Mastin to swap to a shallow front wheel before the event.
In spite of a forecast which suggested plenty of rain, the event was held in dry conditions except for a brief shower for the later riders. It was a successful day for two of our riders. Simon Henderson was third overall and also the fastest veteran in the 50 to 59 group, while second claimer, Gary Harrison was the fastest in the 60 to 69 veterans group.
