This week, we held the time trial at Betteshanger on road bikes only. For some, it was time to put the TT bike away, while a number of riders have always been on road bikes this season.

The weather was good, warm but with a breeze for the 37 riders that signed on. Over one third of the field was made up with junior riders, many of whom posted improved times and PB’s.

Alex Dack was the fastest junior with a time of 25.49, which would have placed him ninth in the senior field. In third place and fastest girl was Ferne Peirce in 27.55. Making his first appearance at one of our events was 10 year old Seb Mugford. Well done to all the juniors!

Top of the senior times, and riding his first Betteshanger evening "10" was Paul Burrows who got round in a time of 22.42. Tanya Scott was fastest woman in a fine 25.10, which was seventh overall.

All times can be found in the attached files.

Our thanks go to our helpers this week, especially Paul Griffiths, who was have a go at time keeping. Other helpers were Simon Henderson, Andy McCall, Malcolm Adams and Dave Mastin.

Report by Dave Mastin.
