This week at Betteshanger CP, we had both good weather and a good field for the evening time trial.  It was warm and the wind was quite gentle, certainly by Betteshanger standards. In total, 22 riders signed on for the event, 16 seniors, 4 juniors and a 2-up team.

With the good conditions came some good rides throughout the field.  Topping the times of the juniors was Dougie Tulett once again, this time with a very respectable 22.54.  Making her first appearance this season at an evening “10” was Ferne Peirce, who was fastest girl rider with 27.27.

It was quite close for top honours amongst the senior riders with Mat Lister recording a fine 21.52, pushing Neil Gerrard into 2nd place.  Neil’s time was 21.58. Faye Faiers was our top female rider with a good effort, recording 26.33.

The 2-up pairing of Ola Zdzieblowska and Richard McVey improved on their previous outing with a time of 27.45

Times of all riders can be found in the accompanying table.

As always, we must thank our band of helpers who ensure that the event can take place.  This week, they were Andy McCall, Terry Fearn, Paul Griffiths and Dave Mastin.
