The 3 hour drive was worth it for a great day of racing at the Castle Combe racing circuit near Swindon. 4 Thanet RC riders made the long journey to represent the club in the National series and as expected the competition was very high.
Max started us off with 5th place in the under 8 race. Flynn kept with the front group for the 14 mile race coming in 23rd in the sprint. Finally Ollie Robinson came 34th and Dan Martin 54th of 89 riders on the start list for the under 16s. Ollie’s Averaged 28mph for the 31 mile race so those boys are quick. Attached video on Ollie’s attempted break not sure it will work though the website?
