Today saw the last Kent open TT for 2015 – and thanks to Bob Burden and his team of helpers the event went ahead as planned with 9 TRC riders pitching up
In the days previous to the event having to contend with 4 way traffic lights, emergency gas main repairs and road closures outside the HQ many organiser would have given up!
Not Bob – organising an emergency course, Police notices and impeccable guidance for the riders the event went ahead …….. well done Bob (and your team of helpers) the riders really appreciate the help of everyone involved.
There were mixed fortunes for the TRC riders on the emergency 15 course going from east of Lenham to Orchard Heights RAB and back.
Despite the forecast the weather felt kind with a bit of a breeze….. but it did feel a bit cold – it is October after all!
Well done to Chris Fennell taking 2nd overall, only 9 seconds behind the event winner Kevin Tye (Velo Refined Aerosmiths)with a 31:54.
