It may be hard to believe, but we had a second consecutive week of good weather at Betteshanger CP for the latest evening 10 mile time trial. The good weather lead to the largest field of the year so far for a solo event. 41 riders signed on in total, including 8 juniors. There were a number of PB’s recorded, including Faye Faiers, Nick Austin and Simon ‘Lord’ Charles. There may have been others too, but these are the ones I am aware of.

Tom Hutton was quickest junior with a time of 24.56, while Catherine Morrell came in with a time of 25.40 for second junior and fastest girl.

It was very close for the honour of fastest senior rider. Second claim member Dan Martin of University of Bath CC recorded 20.24, beating Nic Fennell into second place by just 4 seconds. Meanwhile, Jo Smith headed the women’s times with 24.17. See attachments for the times of all riders.

This week’s helpers were Terry & Jenny Fearn, Malcolm Adams, Andrew Morrell, David Redmond, Andy McCall and Dave Mastin.

Report by Dave Mastin.
