A small field of 54 riders for the West Kent RC “10” on the Harrietsham – Charing course was well supported by the club with 7 first claim members and 1 second claim member taking part. Conditions were cool and misty with a light cross wind from the south. There was a tie for first place with Michael Barnes recording the same time as second claim member, Jon Parker. Their time was 21.13. Thanet RC times in starting order were:

Simon complained about having “lost” 19 watts of power and was consoling himself by getting stuck into the cakes from the tea bar!
