This weekend’s local time trial was the VTTA Kent Group “10”, organised by our very own Colin Inett. It was held on the popular Thanet Way Q10/30, well known for Graeme Obree’s competition record time of 18.27 from 1993. Conditions were warm with a north easterly breeze, leading to a tough ride to the turn, but good assistance on the return leg.

Fastest ride of the day and a PB too, went to second claim member and University of Bath CC rider, Dan Martin. Dan’s time was 19.22, a minute ahead of VeloRefined’s Andrew Meilak, who took second place. Adrian Hawkins was quickest Thanet RC rider with 21.20, while fastest Thanet RC woman was Nicola Goodban, who was timed at 24.39. The ever improving Nick Scott recorded another PB with 21.25. There was a PB for Eddie Brown (24.44) and Paul Kirkness recorded his best time (23.45) since his recent return to racing.
