Members will wish to join me in thanking Teresa Childs for all her hard work as Ladies Representative on the Committee. Teresa has made many valued contributions during her tenure but has decided to stand down from the position with immediate effect. Teresa has said that she will continue her contribution to the club as Go Ride Secretary and Coach.
As a Community Amateur Sports Club TRC is committed to promoting open access to the sport of cycling; we have the Locks Women’s Series of Races starting in April and there was a good showing of ladies in the recent club 2-up time trial. These events are planned and resourced, and will not need to be organised by any future Ladies Representative, but it is important that we find a female replacement Ladies Representative (Rules, para 6 i) who can represent all lady riders on the committee soon. I can provide further information on the role if required.
