Dear Members,
the recent AGM and annual dinner showed that Thanet RC has had an active and productive year in 2015 at all age groups, disciplines and levels of ability. We hope that the club will continue to be the natural home for everyone who wants to contribute to, or take part in, the sport of cycling at an amateur level in East Kent.
It is now the end of the membership year and time to renew subscriptions. I have received some of these already, for which many thanks, and those new members who joined after the end of June 2015 will not need to renew their membership. Please can all others who wish to renew their membership now do so.
Membership can be renewed either by the club website using our link with British Cycling (BC) (thanetrcsec. Please note that if you have British Cycling membership and you wish to change your personal details you must change them on your BC profile first as this profile take precedence over club data. Subscription rates have not changed and are as follows:
- Seniors £20.00
- Juniors £10.00
- Juvenile / youth £6.00
- Second claim £12.00
- Over 60 £10.00
- Social £5.00
- Family £35.00
I am in the process of updating the Rule Book for 2016 and hope to send this out in hard copy with a membership package early in February to all who have rejoined the club at that stage. I will setup the club database so that all 2015 members will continue to receive club e-mails throughout January 2016. At the end of January these will cease. Lapsed members will be able to keep abreast of club affairs through the news pages on the website and social media.
I really look forward to hearing from you all and hope to see you on your bikes in 2016.
