A warm and sunny evening with light winds ensured a large field of 60 riders signing on at Fowlmead for the latest evening 10 mile time trial.

The conditions resulted in some excellent times, including a number of personal bests throughout the field. These included several of the junior riders, with 6 year old Max Robinson improving by over 3 minutes with a time of 36.59.

Fastest junior was Olly Dickson with 23.54 (a PB?) out of a field of 11 riders. In the senior part of the event, there were two rides under 21 minutes by second claimers Jon Parker (20.27, probably a course record) and Chris Fennell (20.44). Martin Russell was the fastest Thanet RC rider with a time of 23.47.

Two Thornton RC riders, John Laker & Toby Hammond, rode a tandem to a respectable time of 24.23.

As usual, thanks go to our helpers; Gary Russell, Chris Redmond, Tony Northcott, Teresa Childs, Tony Arnold, Andy McCall, Calum Anderton and Dave Mastin.
