In spite of Operation Stack, a large number of club members made the journey to Hamstreet for the first of the PMR series of evening 10 mile time trials. Conditions were warm with a light wind from a southerly direction, and the course, the Q10/1, has the potential for fast times.
After producing matching times in the recent TRC open 25, Bill Hawkes and Simon Henderson repeated their party piece and tied for the honour of fastest first claim members with 21.49! Second claimer, Chris Fennell ended up in second place overall with an excellent time of 20.15, just 4 seconds behind winner Pete Tadros (20.11).
