The latest evening “10” at Fowlmead was held in warm conditions with just a light breeze. We had a good field of 9 juniors and 43 seniors sign on for the ride. This included first timers Sue Shields and Frank Burniston who enjoyed mixed fortunes, with Sue completing her ride after a tiring London 100 just a few days earlier, but Frank punctured and tried to continue but had to give in after 4 laps.
The good conditions resulted in some good times, with many riders improving on their times from last week. This included a number of PB’s and course PB’s for several riders, with 8 year old Max Robinson getting his time down to an impressive 32.07!
Fastest junior, and fastest Thanet RC rider overall once again, was Ollie Robinson with 21.59, a course PB for Ollie. Regarding the senior riders, second claim member Chris Fennell was top of the list with 20.22, whilst fastest club senior member was Simon Henderson (5th) with 22.26. Times are in the attachments.
