A total of 44 riders signed on for the latest evening “10” at Fowlmead; 8 junior and 36 senior riders. Conditions were good with warm temperatures and light SW winds.
There were a number of PB’s for some riders, including Dan Martin, Brian Hood and Sue Shields. Also, I think that the course record has been broken by second claimer Chris Fennell with 20.10, just 11 seconds away from a 19 minute ride.
Fastest junior and fastest Thanet RC rider overall was Dan Marin with 22.09. He took great delight in shouting this out to dad Lawrence as he finished! He was keen to find out if he had beaten Lawrence, but was strung along for a while by the time keepers who took pleasure in winding him up! The fastest senior Thanet RC rider was Simon Henderson once again with 22.20. Times can be found in the attachments.
