The annual Boxing Day “10” on the Thanet Way attracted a field of 19 riders. Conditions were very cold with temperatures just above freezing, but with very light winds.
Riding his very first “10” was junior rider Tristan Duffy, who recorded a very respectable time of 30.20; a good time for a first event on a cold day. Fastest ride of the day was by Huck Garip of Adalta CC with 23.46, and fastest of the Thanet RC riders was Rob Milnes with a time of 25.48.
As usual, thanks go out to the band of helpers without whom the event would not happen. These were Teresa Childs, Terry Fearn, Simon Henderson, Malcolm Adams, Brett Dennis, Pete Huckstep, Tony Arnold, Steve Wright and Dave Mastin.
