Thankyou to all our members and guests who turned up to ride this evening, we had 25 riders start this week.
Special thanks to our helpers who ensured the event ran through the solar eclipse.

A different evening to normal for several reasons:
Many riders were caught in the traffic between Thanet and Sandwich.
Riders rode with front and rear lights.
The eclipse affected the brightness; like the sun going down early, but being higher in the sky created different shadows and then brightening up again.
It certainly provided for some good rides.
These are few of the highlights I picked up from rider feedback:
Fryderyk Cove (Thanet RC) took the age record for a 7-year-old, by 1:24 recording 31:30.
Edith Preston (VC Deal) completed her first 10-mile TT on a TT specific bike recording 41:20.
First time rider Isabella Northrop who just about made it through the traffic in time to start set her PB 32:16.
Dougie Tulett (Thanet RC) recorded a course PB for Q10/42 21:46.
Weather was sunny, warm and a NE breeze (9mph) that gave some rest bite down the straight , air pressure 1021mb
