The club’s second open 10 mile time trial of the season, organised by Michael Friend, was held on the Q10/30 Thanet Way course in good conditions. The wind was light from an easterly direction, and after a cool start, the temperature picked up nicely.

The club had a large number of riders competing, and several riders posted PB’s. There was success for club riders, taking the top spots in both the men’s and women’s awards. Nic Fennell was fastest overall with a new PB of 19.29, while Jo Smith was fastest woman in a time of 23.10. This was also a PB for Jo, and a new club record for a woman over 10 miles Our two junior riders also picked up junior awards with Catherine Morrell 2nd in a time of 25.30, while 3rd place went to Toby Yemm who posted a time of 26.43.

Nic Fennell (19.29), Shawn Manning (21.03) and Nick Scott (21.03) came close to picking up the team award, but were just edged out by 2 seconds by a trio of Abellio SFA RT riders.
