The attendance at this week’s 10 mile time trial at Betteshanger CP was a rather low turnout of just 37 riders, probably not helped with grey and windy conditions The weather also affected the times with virtually all riders falling short of the times they posted the previous week.

The fastest of the 6 juniors was VC Deal’s Toby Anderton with 23.38, with Lance Childs the quickest of the Thanet RC youngsters in a time of 24.30. Making her first appearance at an evening 10 was Tallulah Butcher who recorded a respectable time of 32.20.

31 senior riders took part, with Simon Henderson the fastest in a time of 22.01, beating Shawn Manning who was second with 22.11. All time can be found in the attached PDF files.

Thanks as usual go to the band of volunteers. This week, these were Teresa Childs, Phil Cook, Pete Huckstep, Ollie Robinson, George Bussey, Dave Kenning, Terry Fearn and Dave Mastin.

Don’t forget that the event at Betteshanger on 12th July is a 4-up team time trial over 14 miles, so why not get a team together for something different.

Report by Dave Mastin.
