After several days of hot weather, it was a return to cooler conditions for this week’s evening 10 mile time trial at Betteshanger CP. It was overcast with a cool sea breeze for the 20 riders who signed on, three of which were juniors.
Times posted by most riders were quite good, with a PB for junior Seb Mugford of VC Deal (29.02), while Pete Huckstep’s time of 25.52 was his best for 6 six years.
Toby Clayson, VC Deal, was quickest junior with 26.59, while the only TRC junior, Lawson Bax, pulled up after a couple of laps with pain in his leg.
The fastest senior was Mat Lister, with a time of 22.13, while Faye Faiers with a time of 26.07 was our fastest woman. Making his first appearance this year was Roger Dewen, riding a road bike rather than his recumbent.
